Visiting us

We are open daily to visitors, you don’t need to book (unless you’re attending a special event) and it is free to come in. Please note:

• Our team of Vergers and welcome volunteers will be on hand if there’s anything you require.
• The main part of the building (the nave) has step-free access. However, there are no lifts for accessing the galleries.
• We have induction loops in place for users of hearing aids.
• Please note that we do not have public toilet facilities available in the cathedral.

There are many services and events taking place at the  cathedral everyday.  The calendar below outlines what you can expect if you plan to visit us.

There may be times when the cathedral is closed for private events.  We will endeavour to update this calendar accordingly.

Visitors are welcome to take non-flash photography for personal use inside the cathedral and in Cathedral Square. No photos can be taken during services, rehearsals, concerts and events or of children on our premises.
