If you are looking for a summer holiday club for your kids, let’s consider one at Birmingham Cathedral! After successful workshops at Easter and in May half term, this summer we are having four different workshops covering science, craft, music and creative writing, one running per week. Tuesday 30th July – Science workshop, with a visit to Thinktank
A science workshop that will allow children to do some science experiments, create their own slime to take home with them, and visit the Thinktank museum in Birmingham.
Tuesday 6th August – Stained glass window craft workshop
In this workshop, children will learn more about Birmingham Cathedral’s famous stained glass windows, and complete crafts to take home all on the theme of stained glass.
Tuesday 13th August – Music workshop
In this workshop, alongside the Cathedral’s music department, children will have the opportunity to play some musical games, learn some songs and perform together.
Tuesday 20th August – Creative writing workshop
In this workshop, children will learn about different forms of creative writing, including short poems, slam poetry and story writing, and will write pieces based on the Cathedral.
*Time: 1000 – 1400
*Lunched will be provided.
*Each child can sign up for ONE workshop each.
*All workshops are designed for kids going into years 3-6 in September 2024.
The workshops will take place at Birmingham Cathedral. All supplies will be provided by us.
These are free clubs run by Birmingham Cathedral, and lunch will be provided for the children. As it is free, we ask that if you cannot make it, you let us know as soon as possible so we can offer your space to another child.
