Birmingham 2022 Festival presents… The Common Wealth Table!
A Creative City Project generously supported by Birmingham City Council
The Common Wealth Table is a thirty seater table designed by Intervention Architecture. Located in Cathedral Square, in the shade of Birmingham Cathedral, it provides a place for different groups of people to come together for conversation, food and other inspirational gatherings. There’s also a herb garden planted in the middle of the table.
The table will be in place until Harvest Festival in mid-September.
The cathedral and Arts&Heritage will be partnering to put together a programme of events during the table’s installation – so keep an eye on our social media channels for information on these. We’d love you to come up with creative ideas for how you can use it!
Would you bring people together for a picnic, or to write poetry?
How could the herb garden inspire you?
Start thinking and dreaming!
