We will be supporting Christian Aid Week once again this year, from 12 to 18 May.
There will be collections in Cathedral Square throughout the week, a Barber’s Shop quartet performance, award-winning marmalade for sale, and a free concert by Bournville Strings.
This year, Christian Aid is highlighting its work in Burundi as an example of how they are supporting communities to escape poverty, through building reliable and diverse incomes that bring them food security, better health, safer homes, increased resilience, and hope.
Christian Aid Week is also an opportunity for churches to unite in reflection and celebration. This week, we will be praying that people on the brink of poverty find the strength and opportunity to push back harder and fulfil their hopes and dreams.
